Beacon Cove

We were very happy with our spacious, well-appointed, and clean temporary quarters at Co House, which is about as near as it is possible to be to the main campus of Yale without actually being in it. The shops and cafés of Broadway and Chapel Street are a block or two away. The kitchen facilities made us independent of restaurants, which we were able to visit out of desire rather than necessity.Free on-street parking with a Zone 6 visitor's permit for our rental car was a major convenience as well. Automatic check-in and check-out functioned perfectly. Visitors beware: the inner city of New Haven is mostly a depressed urban area and no place for a relaxed evening stroll. This will be true no matter where you stay. But there is no reason to fear the very short walk from Co House to Yale.
